Coffee & Client Connections: Chatting with a Real Estate Customer Relationship Officer

Have you ever wondered what the real estate world looks like from the ground floor?

Forget the high-powered brokers and million-dollar listings for a moment. Today, we’re brewing up a conversation with the unsung hero of the industry: the Customer Relationship Officer, Winnie Mutheu.

They’re the friendly voice that greets clients, the problem-solver who keeps things running smoothly, and the local expert with a finger on the pulse of the community. So, grab a cup of coffee (because, let’s be honest, coffee fuels the real estate world!), and join us as we chat with a Customer Relationship Officer who’s spilling the tea (or should we say, coffee) on what it’s really like on the front lines of real estate.

  • Can you share a success story of how a real estate agent you worked with leveraged your CRO office to achieve outstanding results?

We are in constant communication with the most successful real estate agents to ensure that we understand their client’s specifications and keep the client aware of the progress that’s happening on their property.

This frees the time of the agent to focus on their important tasks which includes meeting with developers, investors and firms interested in venturing or expanding their market share in the real estate industry.

  • There has been tremendous changes taking place in the industry, what excites you the most in regards to the future of real estate?

Yes, there has a lot of changes happening in the market, what excites me the most is the  adoption of enhanced communication technology in the market bridges the gap between us and our clients.

It also helps us in storing accurate client information which can be easily accessed and updated with relevant information, and also ensures we maintain a personal touch when interacting with them.

With introduction on new technology and materials in building and construction where precast panels/ blocks are used in building clients’s homes.

The advantages in using this material is the speed in construction, its good quality, easy installation and its affordability.

Also with adoption of enhanced communication technology in the market bridges the gap between us and our clients.

  • In your experience, Have you noticed any trends in what people are looking for in a neighborhood these days?

Most families are prioritizing safe neighborhoods with good schools, parks, and playgrounds. Amenities like community centers or daycare facilities are also attractive, and with a mixed use development it’s quite easy incorporate such amenities in a residence.

Also there’s a growing desire for a strong sense of community. This includes neighborhoods with active community centers, events, or social spaces where residents can connect, interact and bond over their shared experiences.

  • Do you notice any differences in how tenants or buyers approach finding a new place in this area compared to other markets you’ve worked in?

Yes, I do.

Most of our clients want a mix of the urban lifestyle without noise, that comes with it. They want easy access to nature to be able to connect and unwind from their busy schedules.

We also offer open house showings to our clients and have a site manager at the estate whereby you can visit the project any time from 8 am – 5 pm, and get a feel of the estate and understand the concept of the entire neighborhood.

On top of that, we offer an option of flexible/ customised site visits whereby you can make an arrangement with the site officer in regards to timing.

  • When is comes to spending quality time, do you spend it indoors or outdoors?

I enjoy spending time in my garden, soaking in the sun while enjoying the cool shade under the tree, or relaxing on the rooftop terrace.

  • What Resources do you recommend for investors interested in real estate investments?

My advise to aspiring investors is to visit our offices at Vishnu Industrial Park, Ruiru, where they will get to interact with qualified property consultants in matters of real estate investments and financing options available in the market.

  • For the real estate project to be completed in a timely manner, what should clients do?

Clients should adhere to paying their installments on time as per the offer letter and sale agreement that they signed.

This avoids unnecessary back and forth and delays when it comes to clearing the balance, and them receiving their official documents in time.

As we wrap up this discussion, remember that each conversation is an opportunity to connect, learn, and grow.
